Professional Development

Welcome to the Professional Development section. This section is dedicated to enhancing settlement sector capacity. In serving newcomers to Canada, settlement agencies and workers need profession-specific information on a variety of topics ranging from service standards and working conditions to funding and staffing.

The section is divided into three sub-sections:

• Under Resources and Activities, you can find our current listing of professional development resources and events, as well as umbrella organizations, for settlement workers and managers in Canada.

• The Requests for Proposals sub-section lists calls issued by public and private funders for research and service delivery in the broader settlement sector.

• Job Postings features sector-related job announcements.
