Regional Highlights

The Central Vancouver Island Multicultural Society is a registered charity and a non-profit agency that works with individuals and organizations.

Settlement services in the Yukon are provided by the Multicultural Centre of the Yukon. The services are available to assist in the settlement and integration of immigrants and refugees into the social, economic, cultural, and political life of their community. The centre can offer assistance and programs in the areas of settlement services, language instruction, employment services, and community networking.

This multicultural festival showcases food, clothes, music and dance from around the world.

The Toronto YWCA JUMP Program provides a space for young newcomer women to make friends, learn English, get homework help, learn about essential services, and prepare for the future. The program hosts innovative events and offers help with your job search. It provides young women with the opportunity to relax, discuss problems, and to find help and guidance with integration-related problems.

Municipalities, companies, businesses and community organizations from the four corners of Quebec have organized various sporting, cultural, and artistic activities to celebrate the Semaine québécoise des rencontres interculturelles 2008.

Through a Knowledge Transfer project in partnership with the Atlantic Metropolis Centre, Immigrant Settlement and Integration Services (ISIS) has developed and posted five position papers on its website.
